This home workshop was built for a
customer in Burton Upon Trent. It
was built within the requirements
to avoid a planning application but
was built to building regs
standards.
The front part of the roof was tiled
with reclaimed clay tiles to present
a traditional frontage in keeping
with the properties in the area, but
the rear part of the roof was built
as a flat felted roof to keep within
the height regulations.
While the majority of the building
was of block construction, the front
face utilised reclaimed red and
blue bricks and was built using
traditional lime mortar, again to
give it a traditional appearance
